Job Description
This position administers the biweekly payroll function for all Wyoming and Nebraska employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union and all Laramie River Station (LRS) administrative employees in coordination with LRS and Transmission System Maintenance (TSM) managers, superintendents, supervisors, employees, Human Resources, headquarters Payroll, IS&T and Financial Services staff. This position also assigns employment, compensation, payroll tax, wage garnishment, child support and deduction information in compliance with government regulations, Employee Guidelines and IBEW contract provisions. This position also assigns and verifies the compensation, work schedule, overtime hours refused, and absenteeism transactions. The incumbent is responsible to assign and verify cost center and work order accounting information to ensure proper accounting and interfaces to the General Ledger, Activity Management and Ventyx Asset Suite planning and scheduling systems. Periodically, this position also assists the LRS HR Coordinator/Benefits Representative and the Administrative Supervisor with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) absence reporting procedures and Ventyx Asset Suite assigned crew and position updates.
Required Skills
This position requires continuous sitting and use of keyboard/computer; occasional stooping/bending, climbing stairs, and reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity, good vision and hearing, and the ability to perform close work. Must be able to analyze data and reports, conduct research, implement recommendation, and present information to others. Requires the ability to develop plans, procedures, and goals, and occasionally work under pressure.
Required Experience
The incumbent must have a four year degree in Accounting or Business with two years of related work experience including use of sophisticated automated payroll and/or accounting software; or six years of payroll or accounting experience. A Certified Public Accountant or Certified Payroll Professional is preferred. Must have knowledge of Cooperative policies and procedures and payroll tax law, GAAP and utility accounting is required. Experience with automated payroll systems is preferred. The incumbent must have excellent verbal, written communication, and computer skills. A valid driver s license is required. The ability to develop plans, procedures, and goals, and occasionally work under pressure is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
